On January 15, 2009, Dinah Faber of Spirits of Tudor Hall met with Sallee Filkins and Kathy Cochran of the Center for the Arts (which has its offices at Tudor Hall) to begin planning for Spirits events and activities in 2009.
The first event of the year will be a meeting of the tour guides on March 11 at Tudor Hall. (See post above for more details.) The purpose of the meeting will be to review the guided tours we conducted in the fall of 2008 and to make plans for the guided tours that will take place at Tudor Hall in 2009. The meeting is open to anyone who served as a tour guide last fall, anyone who would like to serve as a tour guide in the future, anyone who would like to encourage and support the tour guides, and anyone who would like to know more about tour guides and their activities.
Meanwhile, with the permission of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Dinah Faber is working with Sarah Corey (Harford County Preservation Planner) and Ann Persson (President of the Archeaological Society of the Northern Chesapeake) to create a plan for archeological exploration of the grounds at Tudor Hall. Watch this space for updates.
In addition, volunteer Mike Brown is working with Center for the Arts to create a 15 minute "video" introduction to Tudor Hall that can be viewed on DVD by visitors to Tudor Hall when a tour guide is not available.
Other events and activities are under consideration. Please watch the blog for updates.
